Directors Introduction

At Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre we have two Directors that share the role.

Melissa Rankin

Melissa Rankin

Co-Director

My name is Mel Rankin and I have been here at the centre since beginning of 2009. Prior to this, I have worked in both Community and Private centres. I have worked with all age groups, especially enjoying my time with the Nursery and Toddler age groups where I feel the job is challenging yet extremely rewarding. I am married, live in the local area and have two daughters. My eldest is seven and went through Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre and is now at school and my youngest is four and is currently also at Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre.

I thoroughly enjoy my role here at Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre as I enjoy the family atmosphere, the community feel and the nurturing environment the great team of Educators provide for the children. As a Director, I am passionate about working with families, children and Educators to ensure a secure and nurturing environment where the children can grow to their full potential.

I look forward to continuing to be a part of this community and growing alongside the great team of Educators we have here at the centre.

Tara Roberts

Tara Roberts

Co-Director

My name is Tara Roberts and I have been employed here at the centre since February 2017. I am married, have three children, aged 24, 19 and three, and live in the local area.

I have extensive experience in Early Childhood Education and Care environments which stems back many years. I have previously owned two of my own centres, and prior to starting here, was the National Manager of Children’s Services for an RTO, where I developed training materials and programs for both the Diploma and Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification, where I was responsible for managing over 300 students, and a team of facilitators.

I have really enjoyed stepping back in to the Director role, and being able to develop great relationships with the families, children and staff here at Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre.

The centre has a great family atmosphere and provides “an extension of home” care environment. I look forward to continuing to be part of this community and working alongside some amazing, passionate educators.
