As your child grows into school readiness, it is incredible to see their personalities shine and their own unique interests take shape. Our Kangaroo Room is a welcoming space for your children to learn about their world, their interests and themselves, allowing them to flourish as curious learners and individuals.

Our community

Kidman Park Community Children’s Centre is an active part of the local community through fostering strong connections with neighboring primary schools, parks, and locally based organisations. This enhances a sense of belonging within and beyond our Centre.

The learning environments we create both indoors and outdoors are filled with carefully planned, age-appropriate activities and experiences that support your toddler in their learning, development, and wellbeing. Creating opportunities for them to thrive as individuals or socialise in small and large groups.

As children reach the Kangaroo Room, opportunities for community involvement increase. These include visits to the primary school library at Kidman Park Primary School, walking excursions to the local reserves and open spaces and autonomy with selecting library books from the City of Charles Sturt Mobile Library Van.

Increased discussions around personal wellbeing, body safety, autonomy, personal hygiene practices and managing emotions

Communication

Children communicate with their peers and educators in a range of ways, including through art activities, role playing, read aloud stories, interactive stories, games and group time
